Obituary for Robert Blake Johnson
Robert Blake Johnson 54, of Eatonton, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Jasper County, Ga. but had lived in Eatonton all of his life. Blake had worked for 26yrs. at Horton Homes as a welder, but was currently employed with Southeastern Portable Buildings. He was a devoted employee who never missed work or called in for any reason. Blake loved anything to do with motorcross and had won many trophys participating in Motorcross racing. He also enjoyed Nascar(Johnson was his favorite driver). He enjoyed trips to the beach but especially to the Cherokee Mountains to the casino. Blake liked fried chicken (which he called yard birds), and seafood. The visitation will be held at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 3pm., with a memorial service following at 4pm. He is survived by his children, Brandon Blake Johnson of Virginia, Candice Sierra(Hunter) Hartley and Robert Blake Johnson, Jr., both of Milledgeville, his father Robert Walter Johnson of Rhode Island, his mother and stepfather Susan Rogers(Emory) Moon of Madison. He also has 3 brothers James Gregory Johnson of Dublin, Jeffery Scott Johnson of Atlanta and Bradley Duane Moon of Eatonton, as well as 2 grandchildren Johny Hyde Hartley and Whitley Raeann Hartley. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
