Obituary for Naomi Joyce Kelly
Naomi Joyce Kelly 66, of Eatonton, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Athens, Ga. Mrs. Kelly was born in Social Circle, Ga. to the late Robert Edward Lee Dick and Joyce Hall Dick on March 7, 1951. She was a member of Elder Road Baptist Church in High Shoals. Ms. Naomi liked Nascar but loved Dale Earnhardt. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid Ga. Bulldogs fan. She will always be remembered for making the best divinity that she gave to her family every year at Christmas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 10yrs. Richard B. Kelly. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel beginning at 2pm, with a service following at 3pm. The burial will be private at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter Janet Fugett of Bishop, Ga., brother Johnny Dick of Covington, stepson Rick(Alicia) Kelly of Newnan,Ga. stepdaughter Michelle(Ken) Merrit of McDonough, Ga., as well as, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family has requested that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
