Obituary for John "Randy" George III
Mr. John Randall (Randy) George, III, 64, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday Feb. 17, 2018, after a brief illness. Randy is preceded in death by his parents John (Johnnie)Randall George, Jr. and Nell Gray George. He is survived by his daughter Rachel(Justin) Sims, his brother Mike(Ann) George, and his sister Jan(Ron) Alexander, also surviving is his grandson Julian Sims, his three nephews Sean Alexander, Scott George and Michael Alexander, his two nieces Kendall Beasley and Lori Boswell. Randy was born in Macon, Ga., and lived his first two decades in Warner Robins, Ga. He was a 1971 graduate of Northside High School, and then attended Middle Ga College and Ga. Southern College. Randy had a great love for music that developed from playing the clarinet in his high school band. He self taught and became proficient with playing many stringed instruments, which brought him joy his entire life. As a member of Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), Randy spent many years, as a hobbyist, at various race tracks with family & friends, and his Mg Midget. He also had a passion for Auburn “War Eagle” football. Many great times were had with his brother Mike watching the games. Above all Randy had a heart for people. He never met a stranger and enjoyed life with an abundance of friends and family who loved him. His kindness and generosity with helping others was clearly a God given gift. As we all celebrate his life and homegoing, we could tell him “I love you” and he would respond with “ I love you more.” The family will greet friends on Thursday from 1 until 2:45pm at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, with a graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery at 3pm.
