Obituary for Harold Alford
Harold Paschal Alford,96, passed away late afternoon at his residence at The Glen at Lake Oconee, under the care of Hospice Compassus. Mr. Alford was born on August 22, 1921, in Morgan County to the late Claude and Addie Alliston Alford. He was a dairy farmer, loving husband, father, grandfather,great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He devoted his life to family togetherness, which centered on meals and family gatherings. He will be remembered for his humor, sharp memory,stability, friendship and laughter. He was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church, Eatonton, Ga. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years Jewell Welch Alford. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10am at Harmony Baptist Church. The service will follow at 11am. with Dr. Lynn Reddick and Rev. Linda A Reddick officitating with assistance by Rev. Donnis Franklin. He is survived by his children Linda(Lynn) Reddick, Tyrone(Arlene)Alford and Sharon Martin and George Pirie, his grandchildren Laura R. Collins, Greg(Cindy)Reddick, Sheryl Murphy, Tracy(David)Stickley, Reuben Alford, Ivy Alford, Jackie Williams and John Martin, great grandchildren Kayla Parker, Ethan, Sarah Reddick, Baker, Jack, Isabella Stickley, Zach, Shanna, Allie Murphy, Grace, Reign Williams and Logan Alford. The family request memorial contributions be made to Harmony Baptist Church or Union Chapel Church both of Eatonton. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
